Especially in those countries characterized by extreme weather conditions, most farmers know that one of the greatest concern, when storing outside the stacks of fodder bales, is to protect them from rain and snow, as well as from UV rays in order to prevent losses.
Thanks to Rekord Cover, farmers have finally found an ally in protecting their harvest from damages due to weather conditions. Tests and figures prove this great goal has been achieved.
Here are some advantages and features: highly breathable and hydrophobic, therefore no more mould under the stacks of fodder bales, more sustainable because recyclable, durable and reusable since tear-resistant, handy and easy to apply thanks to its perfect fabric adherence.
Rekord cover itself is treated against UV rays to last for years and represents a master sun barrier ensuring the highest protection.
Together with this new cover by Novatex, Rekord product line is the most advanced and complete range of products in terms of fodder protection from harvesting in the field to storage, performed through different baling systems, round or square balers.
THE CORRECT INSTALLATION OF REKORD COVER
In order to obtain the maximum protection, when storing the bales, it is important to follow good storing procedures: on the stacks top there should be only one bale. When the stacks are made by round bales, the bale on top should have the round face up. For square bales stacks, the bale on top should be positioned with its smaller face upwards. This procedure allows reducing the flat area exposed to rain.
The stack’s sides should present steepness more than 45°. This will ensure that the great majority of rain will slide away. Rekord Cover is capable of absorbing the small part remaining and it will be easily dry in the following hours, depending on wind, sun and other weather conditions.
Another key point is the bottom of the whole stack, which should be raised from the ground by using pallets. This will ensure the circularity of air inside the bales stack.
